Christchurch International Airport is located approximately 15 minutes’ drive from Christchurch city centre. It is the second busiest airport in New Zealand, currently servicing 12 airlines with 18 domestic and 11 international destinations.

Christchurch Airport operates 24 hours a day. However, after the last domestic flight at around 11pm, the domestic terminal is closed. The international arrivals hall is open throughout the night. The arrivals hall is unsuitable for sleeping and only certain areas permit resting.
Christchurch International Airport offers various parking options, with express, short and long stay all available. EconoPark, located 10 minutes away from the terminal, provides a free shuttle to and from the airport. Secure car storage is also available and all parking options can be conveniently booked online in advance.
From the Christchurch city the airport can be access by public transport, with regular bus services and taxis to choose from. You can also book your travel with one of the local shuttle companies.
