The airport provides an easy access to the local resorts, with Porters, Mt Hutt and the Mackenzie region all within a few hours’ distance. Christchurch Airport has many different facilities for the convenience of all passengers and airport visitors. These include:

Christchurch Airport operates 24 hours a day. However, after the last domestic flight at around 11pm, the domestic terminal is closed. The international arrivals hall is open throughout the night. The arrivals hall is unsuitable for sleeping and only certain areas permit resting.

PARKING & TRANSPORT

Christchurch International Airport offers various parking options, with express, short and long stay all available. EconoPark, located 10 minutes away from the terminal, provides a free shuttle to and from the airport. Secure car storage is also available and all parking options can be conveniently booked online in advance.

From the Christchurch city the airport can be access by public transport, with regular bus services and taxis to choose from. You can also book your travel with one of the local shuttle companies.

A number of car rental companies are also located the arrivals terminal.

LOUNGES

Air New Zealand, Qantas, Emirates and Singapore Airlines all have lounges available for their passengers and airline alliance partners in the domestic and international terminals.  Please contact your airline to find out what is available for you.
