INFO

Coronet Peak LogoLoved by locals since opening commercially in 1947, Coronet Peak is the home of good times!

Just 20 minutes’ drive (16km), on paved roads, from central Queenstown, Coronet Peak is a world-class ski and snowboard area, featuring state-of-the-art facilities, 280 hectares of skiable terrain and breath-taking views.

Coronet Peak boasts the country’s largest fully-automated snowmaking system. This, along with Mother Nature, ensures consistently good skiing and snowboarding from early June till the end of September.

Coronet Peak caters for all abilities. The large novice area has a separate beginners’ trail. More experienced skiers and riders enjoy varied terrain from wide groomed trails to steep off-piste runs, moguls and open bowls. Coronet Peak is a popular choice for families, with youngsters aged three months to five years able to be enrolled in the fully-licensed Skiwiland Early Learning Centre. Children six and under enjoy free day lift passes every day of the season.

The day starts early on the mountain with First Tracks from 8am and on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights Coronet Peak lights it up for Night Skiing from 4pm – 9pm. Enjoy epic sunsets over Queenstown and skiing under the stars before joining the party as the DJ brings the good vibes at the base building.
