Queenstown Airport Logo - NZRenowned as one the world’s most scenic airport approaches, Queenstown Airport is the gateway to New Zealand’s famous Southern Lakes region and its 4 major resorts – Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, Cardrona, and Treble Cone.

Located 10 minutes’ drive from Queenstown, 40 minutes from Cardrona and an hour from Wanaka, the airport is serviced by regular direct trans-Tasman flights via Air New Zealand, Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin Australia and daily domestic services from/to the international gateways of Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington.

Queenstown Airport is also a busy base for heli-ski operators and scenic flights to spectacular locations, like Milford Sound and Mount Cook.

FACILITIES

Queenstown Airport offers many facilities to travellers and visitors, including:

  • First aid and Parents rooms.

Terminal building opens from 6:00am and closes an hour after the last scheduled flight, 7 days a week.

PARKING & TRANSPORT

Short and long-term parking options are available at the Queenstown Airport. There is also Pick-up & Drop-off zone, offering 20 minutes free parking for friends, family and colleagues.

Buses, airport shuttles, taxis and limos are all lined up outside the terminal, ready to go. Taxis and Airport Shuttles offer door-to-door service and the public bus comes through every 15 minutes. A number of car rental companies are also located at the airport.

LOUNGES

There are two lounges at Queenstown Airport, servicing airline customers and pay-for-use customers.

  • Air New Zealand has a Koru Lounge located on the first floor of the terminal building. Open daily, the lounge caters for up to 90 guests and has stunning panoramic views over the runway to Coronet Peak and out to The Remarkables mountain range. Facilities include a bar and light refreshments, reading material, TV and business services.The lounge is available to Air New Zealand Koru Club members, Virgin Australia Gold Members and Star Alliance Gold members.
  • The Manaia Lounge – Maori for Protector of Land, Sea and Sky – caters for up to 75 guests and is also located on the first floor of the terminal building. Free entry is available to Qantas Platinum One, Platinum and Gold Frequent Flyers and Qantas Club Members travelling on a Qantas international or Jetstar international flight and to customers travelling in Business. A ‘pay in’ option is also offered to passengers travelling on any airline, domestic or international. Access charges are $40 for up to three hours and $55 for three or more hours.
