In 2015 The Remarkables opened its new base building. This is stage two of a redevelopment project which in 2014 year saw the 1.2km, six seater Curvey Basin chairlift installed, the learners’ area expanded and a bigger car park. As of 2016 season the access road to the resort is fully sealed.
The base building provides all facilities and is the ideal location for overseeing children on nearby learners’ slopes while enjoying refreshments on the sun deck.
Fun for the kids starts at the fully licensed Skiwiland Early Learning Centre, progressing to programmes for all ages and abilities from three months to 15 years. There are three terrain parks ranging from beginner to advanced.
NZSki Snowline provides return trips to The Remarkables every day of the season (weather and conditions permitting) during hours of operation, giving you a comfortable and safe alternative for getting to the snow. No need to bother with chains or road conditions, instead you can sit back and rest up in preparation for your active day ahead and enjoy the incredible views.
The Snowline Express offers a daily service from the Snow Centre in Queenstown to The Remarkables every 20 minutes from 8am until 11:30am. It can also collect you on a space available basis at designated stops along the route. Return buses fill from 1:30pm back to Queenstown.
With the new base building opened in 2015 The Remarkables offer modern facilities for individuals and groups. Remarkables Restaurant and Café, Coffee Bar and Ice Bar will keep you fed, hydrated and warm as you ski and ride throughout the day.
Skiwiland Early Learning Centre and Snowsports School will keep kids and adults busy, while the rental and shop will guarantee you have the right gear for the day.
1 six seater express chairlift, 3 quad chairlifts and 3 surface conveyor lifts will help you get around the mountain. And with 3 terrain parks available you can have as much fun as you like.
